This eye-catching variety comes from a cross of Scarlettâs Chili and Poblano, originally developed by breeder Eric Knight with an emphasis on ornamental beauty and edible versatility. Later selections by growers Rich Blood and Bryan Townshend refined it into the vibrant âRainbowâ line, known for its striking foliage and uniquely colored pods.
